“Bey is back and I’m sleepin’ real good at night,” declared Beyonce on her new track – Break my Soul. Many fans have hailed the dance-friendly, catchy track on social media platforms as one that revived the 90s house/dance.

Beyonce, 40, has released her first single from the long-awaited seventh solo album, Renaissance, earlier than the fans expected – to their surprise and delight. This article highlights what to expect from Beyonce’s new album. We’ll also review her new hit – Break My Soul – and how the fans have received it. Keep reading to find out more.

Announcement of the Release of Break My Soul

On June 20th, 2022, Beyonce erased the profile pictures on her social media channels, prompting her fans to speculate that a new song was on the way. She then took to her Instagram page to inform her fans that the release of her solo track was scheduled at midnight (5 am GMT).

However, Tidal – a streaming service co-owned by Jay-Z – dropped the track several hours earlier than scheduled on its platform. The track’s lyric video was also shared on YouTube.

The previous full-length solo album release from the Grammy award-winner was Lemonade which she released in 2016. The album was well-received by fans and became an instant global hit.

What Else Does Beyonce’s Album “Renaissance” Offer?

According to the Variety, the Renaissance album will feature both country-leaning and dance tracks. The media house also reports that Raphael Saadiq will be involved in the masterpiece. Saadiq is a celebrated music producer, having produced songs for Mary J- Blige, TLC, Erykah Badu, Joss Stone, D’Angelo, and Solange Knowles.

It remains unclear whether the country songs in the album will feature as a separate album or will form part of the Renaissance’s first edit scheduled for release in July 2022. The singer – with more than 340 million social media followers – has already changed her Twitter and Instagram bios to “Act I Renaissance 7.29”.

Beyonce informed Harper’s Bazaar that her album’s cover story would represent a “renaissance” she went through when she spent time in the coronavirus lockdown. She went on to explain how the last year was a period of injustice and isolation, and she was ready to escape, love, travel, and laugh again.

Once the news of her new album’s release reached the media, Knowles-Carter fans went understandably wild, and the information quickly made rounds on social media platforms. They shared funny memes to best illustrate their excitement about the iconic singer’s album.

Beyonce has been producing top hits for more than two decades. However, her fans had missed her music, as her last solo studio album was released in 2016. Fortunately, she is back with a new album comprising 16 tracks, including Break My Soul. The latter is a catchy song that has brought back the fan’s excitement for Bey’s vocals.
