Even if you believe it or not, music festivals are coming back in this new normality we are getting into. After everything that happened due to COVID-19 finally having festivals, it’s very surreal. However, we can’t be in quarantine forever. After the many cancellations and postponed dates, you can go to some of the most awaited music festivals once more, under some COVID-19 regulations and policies.

Table of Contents

  • Lollapalooza
  • Coachella
  • Mad Cool Festival
  • Afro Nation
  • Primavera Sound

Lollapalooza

Many were devastated when Lollapalooza announced that it wouldn’t happen in 2021 or any time soon. But, after a few vaccines and getting to know how to avoid the virus, finally, the festival is coming back. They announced the new date set for July 28 to July 31, 2022, along with a line-up that includes Miley Cyrus, Brockhampton, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone and more. Of course, vaccines and other precautions are mandatory, but it’s a little sacrifice for such a great festival.

Coachella

Again, many were heartbroken when Coachella was postponed, but it’s back and stronger than ever. This time, you can spend your days camping from April 15 to April 17 or April 22 to April 24, 2022. You will be able to do so many activities at this festival that you won’t be able to do them all. There is a dancing dome, a Ferris Wheel, and an art studio this year, so the wait was worth it.

Mad Cool Festival

Even though it is one of Spain’s newest festivals, it’s one of the most popular, glittering, incredible festivals. The festival will be back from July 6 to July 9, 2022, in Madrid, Spain, as usual, following all of the COVID-19 required precautions. This year’s line-up is incredible, so it would be a shame to postpone it once more. Some of the artists include Metallica, Muse, Kings of Leon and many more.

Afro Nation

Black heritage in music and how it shaped many of the favourite modern tunes should be celebrated. That’s why this festival it’s so important, especially because some of the best artists nowadays deserve a space where they can share all of the genres that changed music. From dancehall, afrobeat and R&B, you won’t be able to stand still and not dance. So you can enjoy Afro Nation in Portimão, Portugal, from July 1, to July 4.

Primavera Sound

As one of the most respected festivals of Europe, Primavera Sound had to happen, no matter when. Since this is the 20th anniversary, you can expect any surprises from June 2 to June 12 of 2022, the date it’s happening. This is the first time the festival will last two weeks, and with the line-up of this year, we can see why. Some bands featuring in this festival include Tame Impala, The Strokes, Dua Lipa, Gorillaz and many more.
