She always did what she could to make sure Walter doesn’t go to prison and thus ruin her family. She stood by her husband through lung cancer and took a part-time job to support her family. Skyler is a pragmatist who will do pretty much anything to keep her family together.
Grace (Robot) – The Umbrella Academy
When Vanya was young, she had multiple nannies because she killed each one of them with her powers. Sir Reginald Hargreeves creates Grace to be the perfect housewife and mother to the children of the Umbrella Academy, because of his frustrations due to the number of killed nannies by Vanya. The children are very fond of Grace, referring to her as “Mom”. Vanya and Diego seem to have the most connected to her, as she encouraged them through their struggles. This could be a good example of a mom that takes it all in but puts on the best face she can to comfort and provide safety to her beloved children.
Wendy Byrde – Ozark
A mother of two children and married for 20 years covers her husband’s money-laundry strategies. Helping him (with her entire family) from the beginning to keep her family as safe as possible. Yes, she cheats on her husband and even turns on her brother for the well-being of her family. The laundry goes on until she becomes the principal partner of her husband’s illicit crimes.
