We talked about how we expected that Ronaldo could be playing for Manchester, and we were right. Cristiano Ronaldo finally reached an agreement with Manchester City for a two-year contract. There were speculations before regarding this because there were troubles with Cristiano and his teammates.
We are not sure about anything except that the star is going to play for the City. We suspect that this happens because the star Harry Kane remained in the Tottenham Hotspur. Kane confirmed this on his social media accounts this past Wednesday, dismissing the intentions of the City to have him on the team.
What is going to happen with Ronaldo?
Even though the deal is already done, and Juventus is willing to let him go, the City and Juventus haven’t come to terms. Juventus is looking for a €25m transfer fee and a signing forward of Gabriel Jesus. However, the City doesn’t want to pay the fee or let go of one of their Brazilian stars.
On the other hand, there are still rumours about further possibilities for Ronaldo. Manchester United is interested in re-signing the player, but they are behind the City on this one. Also, there are speculations about him moving to Paris Saint-Germain. Nothing is confirmed yet; however, he already told his teammates in the Juventus that he will sign for the Citizens, confirming at least his intentions.
Cristiano spoke about many of the rumours surrounding him on his social media by saying that “More than the disrespect for me as a man and as a player, the frivolous way that my future is covered in the media”. This being said, a lot is going on about this player. Still, he and his manager are already excited about the City, but just time will confirm.
