Being successful in something you love is one of the most outstanding achievements you can reach in a lifetime. In Never Give In, Alex Ferguson talks about his success and how he got to the top again after a life-changing event. The bittersweet documentary shows us why resilience it’s so important and why values are so important.

The documentary, directed by his son, Jason Ferguson, can be watched for free on Amazon Prime. From the beginning, we can see why the experience will be bittersweet, opening with a dramatic scene. However, thanks to that scene that we will discuss in a second, we can expect a story of success, including even the sad events.

Why should you watch it a least once?

There are very few iconic managers in the world, and Sir Alex Ferguson is probably the most iconic in the whole league. The documentary opens with a recording of an emergency call after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. After this experience, Ferguson felt the necessity of making a memoir of his life’s most important moments.

He said that “Losing my memory was my biggest fear when I suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2018. In the making of this film, I was able to revisit the most important moments of my life. Having my son Jason direct this film has ensured an honest and intimate account”. Because of this, you will see the ups and lows and how his eventful journey was worth it.

Here he talks about how his working-class childhood shaped him and how it fueled him to success. He also talks about how his work affected his personal life after his victories, trophies, and fights. Overall, the documentary it’s a profound glimpse of the good and bad sides of success and a football manager. And, at the same time, it’s a lesson on how hard work and good values can make you reach your personal stardom.
