World’s Spookiest Festivals you can’t miss in Halloween

We can all agree that spooky season it’s the best season, and Halloween must be celebrated. There are many ways you can do this. Still, you could also go to some incredible events and festivals that some amusement parks do in honour of the horror. In honour of this, we will share some of the major events you can go to and some of the most important horror parties.

Horror Nights

Universal Studios never let any Halloween season just go by without making a big deal about it. Both Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando put on one of the best events in the world. Halloween Horror Nights are packed with screaming sites, spooky rides and haunted houses.

As you can expect, you will enjoy haunted houses packed with film and TV references; however, you could explore Hill House this year. Yes, the famous house form ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ will be available this year. If you are into classics, you could visit Beetlejuice, The Exorcist or Halloween 4 haunted houses and more.

Spooky Disney

Disney has its spooky themes movies and some famous witch and villains that can give shivers to anyone. Right now, the tickets for the special park events – Disney After Hours Boo Bash and Oogie Boogie Bash – are sold out, but there’s plenty of things to do. One of the best examples of this is how many characters will be wearing Halloween costumes.

There are more if you want to do something more than just take pictures with princesses, villains or the giant Mickey Mouse Pumpkin in the entrance. We recommend you check the Haunted Mansion because this time of the year features many of the ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ characters.

Kawasaki Halloween Parade

Western celebrations aren’t as popular in Asia as you can imagine, but Halloween is a whole new deal in Japan. The Kawasaki Halloween Parade it’s almost like a Brazilian Carnival parade, with nearly 4000 people wearing the most outrageous costumes you will ever see. As everything fashion-related, the Japanese take very seriously their costumes, wearing theatrical, incredible ones. You can enjoy the parade with DJs and musicians in the background.

Samhain Festival

We know very little about her Celtic roots behind the Halloween celebration; however, it’s celebrated more traditional fashion in Ireland and Scotland. On October 31, you can enjoy costumes, parades, fire dancing, wild drumming, and acrobatics, showing some original traditions more modernly.

Day of the Dead

If you love Halloween, you will love ‘Días de Muertos’ o Day of the Dead. There’s a huge festival celebrating dead, honouring your deceased loved ones as a traditional Mexico celebration. With every party, everybody celebrates the joy of being alive and the memories of those gone. The iconic skull scenery, known as Catrinas, and the colourfulness of the festival made it a UNESCO recognized holiday.

Some special events are worth it and show you a different way to enjoy Halloween. Worldwide there are many unique celebrations; however, we will mention two of the most creatives and enjoyable ones.

Voodoo Music and Art experience

New Orleans, it’s one of the most mystical places in the USA because there are many myths and spooky stories related to this place. That’s why there’s a whole festival about its culture and the culinary tradition of New Orleans. So you can put on a costume, listen to music, party and enjoy part of the cultural heritage while you enjoy the best of Halloween, tasty treats.

Salem

During October 1st, every year and for almost the whole month Salem feature Halloween decorations everywhere. Well known as the city of the witches, Salem is one of the best places to visit during this time because Halloween attractions, markets and more. You could also enjoy theme shows the whole month, turning the trip into a spooky experience.
