How to play Rocket League like a Pro

Facebook Twitter WhatsApp Pinterest LinkedIn Email
Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Email WhatsApp

Many online games are tons of fun, and they aren’t as competitive as Fortnite, for example. But, on the other hand, Rocket League is a mix of cars and football. So, even though it sounds weird, it’s one of the funniest games right now. However, if you are competitive, you can still go pro because recently, this game had its tournament aired on NBC.

The games are very fast, very bright, a lot is going on and are highly addictive. This is why we must warn you that, when you start, you won’t be able to stop playing. You will want to get better, fast, or at least have the best tips before you start playing. Luckily for you, we are fans of the game, and some of our staff knows how to play like a pro.

Table of Contents

  • Concentrate on the team and the basics
  • Don’t chase the ball all the time
  • Try every car
  • Customize the camera
  • Have fun

Concentrate on the team and the basics

We know this could be more general advice; however, it’s not. When you are beginning to play, you should focus on getting better at the game’s mechanics and getting how to work with a team. As a player, you should get to know the basic game mechanics, and you can do this in free play or with casual matches.

When you play with a team, you can do 2v2 or 3v3 matches, and you will have somehow a fixed position. You could support a better player or be an attacker. No, matter the position you have, you should concentrate on your role in the game. You must communicate with your teammates and keep on track of where they are.

Don’t chase the ball all the time

We know that the game it’s about to score a goal and, well, hit the ball, but you should keep in mind when it’s really a good time to shoot. Leaving the ball to the player with the best angle to gain terrain or score isn’t easy to learn, but eventually, you will. While you are playing, you are going to have plenty of time to touch the ball.

Try every car

There are plenty of cars in the game with their own stats and characteristics. Many planers use the Octane, but there’s a perfect fit for everyone, and you should look for the car for you. While you are in this, you can also learn which one it’s your favourite position, and get to know the maps a little more.

Customize the camera

Before playing almost any game, you should customize the camera in a way you feel more comfortable while playing. For example, before going to the arena, try to practice alone and set the camera up. You can change the distance, the field of view, the angle, and many more that will change your whole experience in the game.

Have fun

Like any other online game, many players are toxic in Rocket League, and you shouldn’t feed this toxicity. Instead, try to have fun, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, and share with your friends. Try to encourage other players as you want to be encouraged after gaining more confidence. Again, try to have fun, even if you lose.
