We haven’t heard from this collab in a while and they do their magic again. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s Silk Sonic already did a single, Leave the Door Open, and it was a hit. Now, they did their magic again they released Skate, and it’s silk to our ears. Not only that, the video is an incredible, nostalgic, masterpiece.
Even though they tease about this release, we weren’t ready for such a good video. Before that, the song would be a summertime jam and they were right. They deliver and everything from the video to the single has sunny, chill vibes. And the best of all it’s that, in the video, they have around a full arrange of incredible skaters.
What else the duo is doing now?
The duo – Bruno and Anderson – announced their formation and since then they have been blowing our minds. Leave the Door Open was a huge success; they even were on the Grammys and the Bet Awards. During the ceremony they even took home Best Group, with only this one song, this is how good it is.
After their formation in February, they said that they will release a full-length LP called An Evening with Silk Sonic. This will be Bruno Mar’s first full LP since 24K Magic. However, Bruno Mars has been very busy; he did a collaboration with Charlie Wilson for “Forever Valentine”. Also, he signed a deal with Disney for an upcoming music film, as a star and producer.
.Paak, the other member of this new union, has been more focused on his singles. Recently he directed Leon Bridge’s Motorbike video. He also dropped multiple singles, including “Jewelz”, “Lockdown” and its remix, featuring Noname, and Trolls World. If you like his music, you should check his album Ventura, from 2019.
